Adxe Pty Ltd (“Adxe”, “we”, “us”) operates an advertising network. This policy sets out what information Adxe handles, the purposes for which it is handled, who it is disclosed to and how long it is retained.
Who this policy applies to
It covers three groups, and the information handled about each differs substantially.
- Advertisers and their personnel — holders of an Adxe account. Adxe holds contact details, account and billing records, and logs of activity in the platform.
- Individuals who see or click an advertisement delivered by Adxe — persons with no account or direct relationship with Adxe. Adxe handles device identifiers and technical signals, not names.
- Visitors to adxe.com — this website carries no analytics and sets no cookies. Where a message is submitted through it, Adxe handles its contents.
Information about advertisers
When you open an account or use the platform we collect:
- Account details: your name, work email address, company and the users you invite.
- Billing records: the balance on your account, what your campaigns spent, and the top-ups you have made. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor and are never stored on our systems — we hold a token, the last four digits and the card brand.
- Platform activity: the campaigns, creatives, targeting and budgets you configure, and a log of changes made to them.
- Support correspondence: anything you send us, and our replies.
We also record technical data — IP address, browser and device type — when you sign in, which is what lets us detect an account being accessed by someone who should not have it.
Information about people who see our ads
This is the part of Adxe’s operation that involves people who are not its customers, and it is set out here in specific terms.
From the ad request
When a publisher offers an ad slot for sale, the request that reaches us describes the opportunity. From it we record:
- A device or browser identifier — a mobile advertising ID where the operating system provides one, or an identifier we set in a cookie.
- Your IP address.
- Your browser and operating system, from the user-agent string.
- Coarse location derived from the above: country, region, city, postcode and metropolitan area.
- The app or website the ad would appear in, and the format and position of the slot.
From our tracking pixel
Advertisers place our pixel on their own websites to measure whether an ad led to a purchase or sign-up. On those sites — not on adxe.com — the pixel records:
- A visitor identifier, so a later purchase can be matched to an earlier ad: the one in the adxe.com cookie our ads also use, or, where the browser refuses that cookie, one we set in a first-party cookie on the advertiser’s site.
- The page visited, the referring page, and the campaign identifier attached to the click that brought you there.
- Technical characteristics of the browser — screen and window size, timezone, language, platform, and the way it renders graphics and audio. Combined, these help us recognise the same browser when a cookie is unavailable, and help us tell a real browser from an automated one.
- Industry advertising identifiers already present on the page, where the advertiser or their other vendors have set them.
- The consent signal published by the site, where it operates a consent management platform.
- Ecommerce details of an order the advertiser reports as a conversion — its value, currency and items.
Where an advertiser has configured enhanced conversion matching, contact details submitted to their own form — an email address or phone number — are irreversibly hashed in your browser before they are sent to us. We receive the hash, never the address itself, and use it only to match a conversion to an ad.
Audiences
Advertisers can target lists they provide. The list types the platform supports are device advertising IDs, mobile app bundles, publisher inventory, website domains and IP addresses. There is no facility to upload a list of email addresses, hashed or otherwise, and no way to target an individual by name.
Information collected on this website
adxe.com runs no analytics, no tag manager and no advertising or social pixels of its own, and sets no cookies. The only information it collects is what you type into the contact form, which is delivered to us by a third-party form processor and used to reply to you.
Two service providers receive technical data when you use this site: Google Fonts serves its typeface, and the form processor receives your contact-form submission. Each sees your IP address and browser details as part of handling the request, under its own privacy terms; neither sets cookies here, and neither receives anything about what you read on the site.
How we use information
- To decide, in the moment an ad slot becomes available, whether one of our advertisers should show an ad in it and what it is worth.
- To predict how likely an ad is to be relevant, which is what our models are trained to do.
- To limit how many times the same person is shown the same ad.
- To measure whether ads led to visits, sign-ups or purchases, and to report that to the advertiser in aggregate.
- To detect and block invalid traffic, automated clicks and fraudulent inventory.
- To operate, support, secure and bill for the platform.
- To meet our legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.
We do not use this information to make decisions with a legal or similarly significant effect on you. Nothing we hold is used for credit, insurance, employment, housing or eligibility decisions of any kind.
Cookies and identifiers
The cookie policy names every cookie and browser-storage key Adxe sets or reads, with its purpose and how long it lasts, and describes the controls available to refuse them. The advertising entries are also published in the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework format at adxe.com/device-storage.json.
How we share information
We do not sell advertiser contact details. Information is shared in these situations:
- Exchange and publisher partners. To buy an ad slot we exchange identifiers and technical signals with the exchanges that offer it and, where they support it, synchronise identifiers so the same browser is recognised on both sides.
- Advertisers. Advertisers receive reporting about their own campaigns and conversions. Reporting is aggregated; it does not identify the individuals who saw or clicked an ad.
- Service providers. Cloud hosting, our payment processor, error monitoring and support tooling, each with access limited to what their function needs.
- Legal and safety. Where the law requires it, or to investigate fraud, abuse or a threat to someone's safety.
- Corporate transactions. If the business is merged, acquired or sold, information may transfer with it.
How long we keep information
- Individual ad request records: 14 days.
- Audience and segment membership: 30 days from the last time we saw the device.
- Associations between identifiers for the same browser or device: approximately 12 months.
- Aggregated performance and spend reporting, which does not identify anyone: retained for the life of the account and afterwards as our records require.
- Advertiser account and billing records: for the life of the account and then as long as tax and corporate law requires.
- Deleted data may persist in encrypted backups and archived storage for up to 90 days before it ages out.
Your choices and rights
Opting out of advertising
Your browser and operating system are the most reliable controls. Blocking third-party cookies, using your browser's private mode, or resetting or disabling the advertising identifier in your device settings (Android and iOS both offer this) will stop us recognising the device. Industry opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu cover participating advertising vendors. Where a publisher operates a consent framework, withdrawing consent there stops the sale of that ad slot to us in the first place.
Requests about your information
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to how it is used, or receive a copy of it. To make a request, email hello@adxe.com. We respond within 30 days.
We will ask for enough information to locate what we hold. For someone who is not an Adxe customer that means a device or cookie identifier — we have no way to find records by name or email address, because we do not hold those against advertising records. Deletion requests are carried out by hand rather than through an automated self-service flow; frequency-capping records are purged immediately, and the remaining identifier records are removed within the same 30 days.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled a request you can complain to your local data protection authority. In Australia that is the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Children
The platform is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not allow campaigns to be directed at children. Publishers who present inventory as child-directed are not bought.
International transfers
We operate in the United States, Europe and the Asia-Pacific, and process each ad request in the region it originates from. Advertiser account records are held centrally. Where information moves between regions we rely on the transfer mechanisms the relevant law provides.
Security
Access to production systems is restricted, authenticated and logged; data is encrypted in transit and at rest; and secrets are held in a managed vault rather than in code. No system is perfectly secure. Suspected vulnerabilities should be reported under the vulnerability disclosure policy.
Changes to this policy
This policy is updated as Adxe’s handling of information changes. The effective date above reflects the current version, and account holders are notified of material changes through the platform or by email.
